Copper futures shed 0.83% on profit-booking
06/02/2018 11:43
Copper futures were trading lower in the domestic market on Tuesday as speculators trimmed positions to book profits even as metal strengthened overseas.

Analysts said profit-booking by participants led to the fall in copper prices in futures trade here but a firm trend in the metal at the London Metal Exchange (LME) capped the fall.

At the MCX, copper futures for February 2018 contract was trading at Rs 452.50 per kg, down by 0.83 per cent, after opening at Rs 455.80, against a previous close of Rs 456.30. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 451.20 (at 11:45 hours).
