Gold dips on weak global cues

Gold futures were down today as participants engaged in trimming their positions taking weak cues from global market.
Analysts attributed the fall in prices at futures trade to a weak trend in the precious metals overseas and profit-booking by participants at existing levels.
At the MCX, gold futures for April 2018 contract is trading at Rs 30626 per 10 grams, down by 0.38 per cent, after opening at Rs 30629, against a previous close of Rs 30742. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 30575 (at 14:34 hours).
